John Hartmann, UniGroup President & CEO

John Hartmann is President and CEO of UniGroup, leading its family of companies, including United Van Lines and Mayflower Transit. With more than 20 years of executive leadership experience, John has a proven track record of driving growth, leading strategic transformations and creating long-term value across complex organizations.

Throughout his career, John has served in executive leadership and board roles spanning wholesale distribution, retail, manufacturing, consumer products, cooperatives and highly-regulated industries. He has led organizations through significant business transformation, with expertise in operational excellence, financial performance, mergers and acquisitions and building high-performing teams. Prior to joining UniGroup, John served as CEO of Ascend Wellness Holdings and True Value Company, held senior leadership roles at Bed Bath & Beyond and The Home Depot, and began his career as a Supervisory Special Agent with the FBI.

John earned his undergraduate degree from Rochester Institute of Technology and his Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law. John is recognized for his collaborative leadership style, commitment to operational excellence and focus on delivering long-term value for shareholders, customers and stakeholders.

Gary Quintalino, Chairman of the Board

Gary Quintalino is the chairperson of the UniGroup Board and its operating subsidiaries,
bringing a wealth of experience and insight to his role. Since joining UniGroup’s Board of
Directors in 2017, Gary has played a pivotal role in various capacities, including chairing the
Technology Committee and contributing to the Audit and Risk Committee. His involvement also
extends to the Operational Advisors Group and the Trans Advantage Board of Directors, where
he has made meaningful contributions.

In addition to his work with UniGroup, Gary is the Chief Operating Officer of Active Logistics,
Inc., a proud Mayflower agent since 1995. His extensive background in logistics and operations
has positioned him as a trusted leader in the industry, dedicated to driving innovation and
efficiency.
