Trans Advantage was founded as “United Leasing, Inc.” in 1969 as a subsidiary of United Van Lines. In 1987, United Leasing became an operating company of UniGroup and ten years later was changed to Total Transportation Services, Inc. with Trans Advantage, Inc. as its principal subsidiary. While the company’s initial mission was primarily the selling and leasing of tractors and trailers to United agents and van operators, the company has expanded its products and services over time. For example, new this year, Trans Advantage began serving the needs of transportation companies in the final mile and freight industries.
