UniGroup Welcomes Ian Heller As New General Counsel

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Nov. 4, 2025 — UniGroup, the parent company of United Van Lines, Mayflower Transit and other leading transportation and logistics brands has announced Ian Heller joined the company as its General Counsel, effective October 20. As General Counsel, Heller will oversee UniGroup’s legal and compliance function, serving as a strategic advisor to the President, Board of Directors and executive leadership team. His responsibilities include guiding the Company’s legal strategy, managing corporate governance, contracts, litigation and regulatory compliance, and supporting UniGroup’s ongoing transformation and growth initiatives. 

Heller joins UniGroup from Party City Holdco Inc., where he served in various senior legal leadership roles since 2009. With more than 15 years of experience guiding legal and governance strategy in complex, distribution-driven organizations, Heller brings a proven record of aligning legal strategy with business transformation. 

His experience includes advising CEOs and Boards through organizational change, leading legal operations within supply chain–intensive consumer goods companies and scaling high-performing teams that reduce litigation and regulatory exposure. Heller also has extensive expertise in logistics vendor negotiations, importer-of-record compliance and distribution center support.
