ISO Registrations

UniGroup, C.A. is the parent company for United Van Lines and Mayflower Transit, and is a cooperative made up of independently owned and operated moving companies located across the United States. The following statement applies to the shared services and technologies provided by UniGroup but does not apply to the individual cooperative member locations. 

ISO 9001:  

While UniGroup is not certified in ISO 9001:2015. UniGroup’s quality assurance and processes are designed to guide UniGroup towards improved performance. UniGroup’s program is made up of a comprehensive set of processes based on the best practices with a focus on Lean Six Sigma continuous improvement that aligns with ISO 9001:2015. UniGroup utilizes Lean Six Sigma as a management approach to eliminate waste, reduce process variation, improve company performance and streamline processes to improve customer satisfaction.  

ISO 14001:  

While UniGroup is not certified in ISO 14001:2015 UniGroup is committed to environmental, social and economic governance regarding sustainability. UniGroup continues to focus on environmental improvements in all our transportation operations. UniGroup is currently evaluating frameworks to achieve our sustainability goals and compliance regulations.   

ISO 27001:

UniGroup maintains a comprehensive Data Security Program that addresses administrative, physical, and technical safeguards for the protection of the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data. UniGroup employs enterprise-class technologies and 3rd party services that provide protections and controls to UniGroup’s network, applications, end-user devices, and the data contained throughout the environment. Encryption methodologies are in place for the protection of data while at rest, in transit, and during processing.  

Our information security program is made up of a comprehensive set of policies, systems and services based on the best practices of ISO 27001, NIST SP 800-171, EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Dedicated security, privacy, information governance, and compliance professionals maintain the program with oversight provided by senior management through our internal Information Security Architecture organization. We conduct an annual risk assessment which reviews risks and tracks risks regularly using a process aligned with ISO 27005.
